February 11, 2015 around 12:05 P.M the news had spread
throughout worldwide, in the Darfuri town 200 women and girls were raped some
as young as seven years old by the Sudanese Soldiers on October 31st at night
going into November 1st morning. The Sudanese military undertook at least 3
distinct attacks in the town, in these attacks there was stealing, abuse and
harassment to the civilians living in those towns and a lot of rapes were taken
place. Many witnesses and victims took a stance against these soldiers
and decided to tell the news reporters everything they have either witnessed or
went through. One women with the name of Asal had recounted how the
soldiers hung her brother from a tree before raping her, she had said 'Three
men came inside the hut. Two of the men were holding me. The third was raping
me. When I cried they pushed a piece of cloth in my mouth. Then the
other one raped me.' Not only were females raped and abused but men were
dragged from their homes, taken to other areas for questioning and, pummeled.
Men were traumatized seeing their sisters and/or wives raped by the
soldiers.
