Task 3: Blog 1 for ISU

The main issue in my novel, The Dead and the Gone would be disaster relief. When the moon gets hit and chaos occurs its every person for themselves, it hard for the main character at the age of 16 to take care of his two younger sisters without the help of their parents. “Mami said it`s a really big emergency and they need everybody,” shows how people are in danger and they need each other’s support. “People tried to break in. Someone could have killed me” is an example how desperate people are for anything they can find. Chaos would also be happening because there would not be enough good for some time and people would do anything to get it. “The city seemed mostly closed, but he supposed tomorrow things would open up again, when the national mourning was over.” This quote shows how the city looks like after the disaster has hit and how depressed the city has become. These quotes all lead to disaster relief where the world is trying to protect itself from Mother Nature. My story relates to the scientific disaster that happened March 17th, of a huge rock crashing into the moon causing the moon to have yet another hole. The rock had crashed into the lunar surface, which made a spark in the moon and would have been visible to the naked eye. My book may seem to be fictional but the facts and storyline itself is scientific and could be proven right.
